The company was officially registered in 2022 with MoIC and operates in the 13th district of Kabul city.
The company was established with an initial capital of 70,000 Afghani with the aim of producing hand-made Afghan carpets and creating jobs, especially for women who were not able to work elsewhere as well as for men who were unemployed in remote areas and inside the city. The company operates in two main sectors i.e. production yarn and carpet weaving.
The Rug Company, which was founded in 1997 on the principles that respect for artistry, community, and creative invention define luxury, is well-known for producing the best luxury rugs in the country. Every series reimagines home design by applying contemporary methods to time-honored methods.
The carpet weaving industry in Afghanistan, is profoundly work serious and it frames a significant piece of the handloom business. It has been giving a gigantic lift to Afghanistan fare and has been contributing essentially to Afghanistan economy.
